*** IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE REGISTERING:

Payment is due at time of registration and MUST be made online through PayPal, cheque payments will not be accepted.
If you cancel out of the PayPal payment process, your registration information will be deleted, and you will need to re-register and complete your payment via PayPal.

Registration fees are non-refundable after June 1, 2017, and all refunds will be subject to a 50% administration fee.  Fees are in Canadian dollars and include GST.  All vendors are required to clean their space after the festival.  Failure to do so will result in an assessment of a $100.00 "leave-no-trace' fee.


COMMUNITY / VENDOR SUPPORT

Each vendor will be provided with a 10x10 ft. space and one 8x3 ft. table.  Vendors are permitted to bring additional tables, chairs, and one tent no larger than the 10x10 ft. space.  Vendors are permitted to register for a maximum of two spaces if they would like additional space.  Vendors are not permitted to display logos for any other organization except for the one registering for the booth.  There is no access to electricity.


DECLARATION OF SUPPORT

Part of the application for participation in the Victory Pride Society Pride Parade and Festival for 2017 is a declaration of support for the queer community. This is an agreement between the Victoria Pride Society and all *participants. This declaration asks each participant to uphold the values of the organization, and not act in a manner contrary to those values.


MISSION

The mission of the Victoria Pride Society is founded on empowerment. We empower those who are—or think they might be—gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, two-spirited, or intersex. We continuously strive to empower our friends, allies, and community at large.


SAFE SPACE POLICY

Victoria Pride Society hosts events where everyone is responsible for maintaining a space that strives to be safe for all *participants. Safe space means everyone at the event be free from all forms of oppression and anything that can harm us or limit our wellbeing. This includes expressing opinions in a respectful manner and respectful of other’s right to do the same. We may not agree in our opinions, but we agree to proceed with best intentions and assume the same by others. 

Victoria Pride Festival is a family inclusive event. For this reason, we ask all *participants to refrain from actions and images that are excessively violent, sexually explicit, or disturbing. Our standard is not to limit self-expression but to ensure that the context in which it occurs is appropriate.

Victoria Pride requires all *participants to commit to these guidelines. We encourage anyone to approach the executive board with questions regarding the above or if they feel that any pride event is contrary to our commitment to making our spaces safe.

*Participants include but are not limited to organizers, performers, volunteers, parade entrants, vendors, spectators, and ticket holders.
