We are a group of 2SLGBTQIA+ 14 to 24 year olds that plan projects and events for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth. We provide opportunities to learn, advocate and connect with other gender, sexual and relationship diverse (GSRD) youth and allies. The council is funded by the Victoria Pride Society.

The council is open to all 2SLGBTQAI+ youth ages 14 – 24. We strongly encourage applications from youth who are Two-Spirit, non-binary, trans and/or people of colour as well as youth with disabilities. If you need help with your application or have questions, please email our Youth Initiatives Director at youth@victoriapridesociety.org.

What We Do

Council members can choose their level of involvement. Usually, council members attend monthly meetings to learn, socialize and help organize projects and events like:

– Trans youth storytelling

– Filmmaking workshop

– Naloxone training

– Rainbow cake making

– Creating 2SLGBTQAI+ educational materials

The council also advises the Victoria Pride Society Board on issues important to 2SLGBTQAI+ youth. Other ways to be involved include taking on a volunteer job to help with events or with our social media channels.

Food, drinks and bus tickets are provided for those that attend meetings.
