The Victoria Pride Festival in the park returns to MacDonald Park with a new look! The entire park will be a fenced and licensed venue with all ages welcome.

Enter the festival grounds at Niagara Street and Oswego Street (southeast corner) from PRIDE Lane. Festival is free with a suggested donation of $5+ (no one turned away). The festival boasts a main stage with the best local 2SLGBTQIA+ entertainment, a food court, close to 200 vendors, a kids’ corner stage and play area and secure bike parking by donation.

Vicious Poodle Pride Lounge (19+)

We are excited to be partnering with the Vicious Poodle to offer the Vicious Poodle Pride Lounge as part of the Festival in the Park. The lounge will be open to our Friends of Pride partners and ticket holders.

The lounge will offer a special experience within the festival including a covered stage viewing area, games, fast-track entry into the festival, premium drinks for purchase, priority washrooms, comfortable seating and meet and greets with many main stage performers. Tickets are $40 in advance through Eventbrite and $50 at the door. Access will be through the passholder entrance. All proceeds go to Victoria Pride.

FAQs

Enter the festival grounds at Niagara Street and Oswego Street (southeast corner) from PRIDE Lane. Festival is free with a suggested donation $5+ (no one turned away). As we are a licensed event, bags will be searched upon entry and water bottles will need to be poured out. There will be free water re-fill stations in the park. 

Cyclists can enter the festival from the bike entrance near the baseball diamond in the south east corner of the park.

Vicious Poodle Pride Lounge ticket holders can enter through the passholder entrance off of Niagara Street.

Those with accessibility needs will be able to be dropped off and enter through a dedicated entrance off the Montreal Street Alley.

The Festival will include a volunteer team dedicated to accessibility. Those with accessibility needs will be able to be dropped off and enter through a dedicated entrance off the Montreal Street Alley. Once in the Festival, assistance will be available to get to the accessible viewing platform with a ramp for folks to see the stage from 100 feet out. An ASL Interpreter will provide services for the first two hours during the opening welcome. There will also be lots of seating available throughout the park.

This year, we are introducing our Calm Zone right next to our First Aid Tent. This will be a safe and calm space for anyone feeling overwhelmed or overstimulated. A variety of stim toys will be provided.

Ride to Pride! We are excited to be offering secure bike parking by donation (no one turned away). Cyclists can enter near the baseball diamond in the southeast corner of the park. You will be able to lock up your bike in this area and a volunteer will give you a bracelet that you can use to claim your bike when you leave. Only those with this bracelet will be able to access the bike lock up area. While volunteers will be in the area at all times, Victoria Pride does not assume liability for lost or damaged bikes. All bikes must be picked by 8:00pm.

Yes! Please note that dogs must be kept on a leash and to please pick up after your pet. You and your furry friend can also join us at the Big Gay Dog Walk on June 24th from 6:30pm-8:00pm at Dallas Road and Cook Street.

Please be aware that the liquor license requires water bottles to be poured out and bags to be checked prior to entry. Please also note that smoking and drugs are not permitted in the park.

Yes! All washrooms (porta potties) will be gender inclusive.

The festival will include over 20 different food options. There will also be free water stations in the park to refill your water bottles.

Our bar will be serving drinks from Lighthouse Brewing and Strait and Narrow.

As the Festival grounds is entirely fenced in and licensed, festival goers can freely walk about the venue with beverages. There will be lots of areas to chill with friends and plenty of seating available.

Yes! T-shirts and flags will be available for purchase at Pride House near the Festival entrance. Unlike past years, we will not have merchandise for purchase at the Big Gay Dog Walk or the Memorial Drag Ball Game.

The safety and health of attendees, artists, crew, and volunteers is the top priority of Victoria Pride. We are continuing to operate in alignment with local and provincial health guidelines to ensure that all COVID-19 protocols are met.

There will be a First Aid Tent and medical personnel on site during the entire duration of the Pride Parade and Festival.
