Submerge
Submerge
by Ray Nufer
He was a profound oddity
resting where the sky meets the deep
on the margin of the horizon,
when his form kissed the ocean like a lover.
He was stained glass;
crafted cryptocrystalline that cuts
and bleeds a brilliant scarlet.
But he was only sea green.
